Couleecap serves people and communities in Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties.
Couleecap is a private, nonprofit agency established in 1966 during the War on Poverty. Drawing on the strengths of its diverse programs, Couleecap’s main purpose is to provide the tools and resources that empower low-income people to meet their needs, develop self-confidence and reach self-sufficiency. Couleecap strengthens communities by identifying resources, developing opportunities, and advocating for local adults, youth, and families.
COULEECAP IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER AND SERVICE PROVIDER. AUXILIARY AIDS AND SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
"Your group is doing a wonderful job in helping people of the Coulee Region and I am happy to do my small part to support your efforts. When I was young and living in Southeastern Wisconsin we did not have programs/efforts such as this to support our (poor) family. This is why, now that I am retired, I want to give back to the community as much as I can." - Chuck Stelzner, Viola WI, Couleecap Donor
