Home buyer Counseling

Provides home buyer counseling to individuals planning to purchase a home. No income restrictions. Counseling meets Fannie Mae requirements for accessing the First-Time Home buyer Tax Credit. Fees may apply depending on income.

Service Area: Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties.

Homeownership Programs

​ Helps income-eligible home buyers purchase their first home, with down payment and closing cost assistance available.
​
Service Area: Crawford, La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties.

Eligibility: 

• Must be a First-Time Home buyer;
• Must be at or below 80% of the County Median Income; 
• Must qualify for a conventional loan through a reputable lender;
• Must participate in 8 hours of Couleecap Homebuyer Education.​
