Thriving Families of La Crosse County is a collaborative project between Couleecap, Catholic Charities of La Crosse, and the La Crosse County Family Collaborative to provide low-barrier, safe, stable housing to families who are experiencing homelessness.
Experienced nonprofit organizations, Couleecap and Catholic Charities, acquire and manage quality housing throughout the county. Every family receives supportive case management and services through La Crosse County. The goal is to provide families housing and other supports they need to achieve their personal, financial, and permanent housing goals.
You Can Help Families Thrive
Thriving Families reduces barriers to housing for people who have experienced homelessness and housing insecurity. Through collaboration and a ‘Housing First’ approach, families enter housing without traditional rental application barriers. Instead, they are referred by a case manager and given access to housing despite income, a past housing or credit record, or other factors that would prevent them from accessing traditional rental housing.
Couleecap and Catholic Charities are experienced affordable housing providers in the region with a long track record of success in serving families with housing challenges. Our property management approach is mission-driven to serve community members who may otherwise fall through the cracks. Couleecap and Catholic Charities also provides an array of social service programs that can be accessed by tenants of Thriving Families.
